My first arcade stick: Part 2 – Painting and pieces

With blue-prints in hand, I went ahead and put togeather the shell of my first arcade stick.  I’ve been remodeling my house since January, so putting this thing together was a breeze.

I played it safe drilling the stick and button holes, and went  1/2 ” for starters.   I’m waiting to receive the hardware, to check for actual dimensions, before I put the face panel at risk of having to be remade.  I sanded the edges from 60 grit – 200 and am now ready to paint this puppy.

I’ve confirmed a button layout template, and put togeather a print for that.  I even decided to add a dashboard button! :)

Once I receive the hardware, I can move on to the next step – until then, I’ll slap some paint on this pup and call it a day.
