“Movie mania on the drive”
Author: SWERY (ACCESS GAMES Inc.,)
Hi Everyone,
It’s SWERY, game director of Deadly Premonition.
The game’s been released for a month now I think, and I’ve actually gotten a lot of feedback.
I was also glad to see so many people tweeting about the game on the Deadly Premonition Twitter account and had good fun reading the comments. (more…)
There are times in which I ask myself “Why do I even bother?”, and if you took a look at the downloadable offerings available from the DSi and Wii Shop Channels this week, I think you would understand why I feel this way. There is nothing in particular that stands out to me as something interesting, unique, or fun at all. For these developers, it always comes down to what gimmick of the system can we exploit as much as possible until people get tired of it. Nevertheless, here is my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for April 26th, 2010. (more…)
Would you like the chance to share your gaming accomplishments with the world, or perhaps pimp out your gaming community’s website? Maybe you just want to have your 15 minutes of fame that you can show off to your other friends, or maybe you would like to share your stories about being a gamer, and being rejected by others, then come on in and be a part of the Rejected Gamer’s Controller King Awards podcast. (more…)
The next game that I wanted to talk to you guys about was quite possibly one of the most unique XBLA titles that I played at Pax East, Limbo. It combines the simple elements of a platformer and puzzler, but sets itself apart from the mold by how the audio and visual aesthetics of it really engross the player into the overall experience. The 6 years that it took the people over at PlayDead studios to finish this game seems well worth the wait. (more…)
Wow, this weeks Nintendo downloads kind of suck. Other than a few game and watch games, and one old game from a well known franchise (Megaman 4), the offerings for this week are rather slim. Nevertheless, I still have to make my pick, and as obvious as it may seem, you may be surprised with my selection. So here is my pick for the Nintendo Download of the Week for April 19th, 2010. (more…)
Well it’s about friggin time Sam Fisher, where the hell have you been the past few years. Conviction got pushed so far back that I thought you were going to enter a retirement home faster than Ubisoft was going to finish creating this game. As much as the constant delays kept pissing me off to no ungodly end, the final result was well worth the wait, at least from what I’ve played so far. It’s time to break out the triangle goggles, and snap some necks my friends, Splinter Cell Conviction has finally arrived. (more…)
Some of you may have been wondering “What has QB been doing for the site, as of lately?”; my answer is Spoilars!! …kinda like a game club podcast. This documentary-styled podcast covers select games in their entirety like you’ve never heard before. Promise! (more…)

Since Jeff, Mike, and myself have played so many games at Pax East this year, we figured that it’s only fair to give you a first look at some of them. I think the first one that I will talk to you guys about is Military Madness Nectaris. The main reason why this is my first Pax preview is because the game just debuted on Wiiware this week, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it with all of you. (more…)
With one of the games on offer this week being one of my favorite games at Pax East, picking this one out of the bunch was a no brainer. So here is my pick for the Nintendo Download of the Week for April 12th, 2010. (more…)
Now that the Pax plague is officially over, i thought that this would be a good time for me to share my thoughts about some of the the experiences that I had at the event. As enjoyable as all of these new and innovative games were to play, taking a look back at the games from my childhood up to now was alot of fun as well. The classic console freeplay room satisfied my craving for not only some old school gaming fun, but it was just a place where I felt liked I belonged, especially since I spent most of my life playing all of the games that were there. (more…)
Matt (MrB4) had a chance to sit down with an up and coming Video Game development team by the name of Two Fold Secret. They are the creative masterminds behind the extremely deep PC flash game Where We Remain, an adventure title that has an old school feel to it. What is the game about?, how and why did they start a gaming company together?, do they like to use the word overland alot?, all of this and more will be discussed, so be sure to listen in. (more…)

Wow, sometimes the offerings that are available for download for a certain week are just disappointing. I was really hoping to expect to see something better than what we got, but i digress. Here is my pick for the Nintendo Download of the Week for April 5th, 2010. (more…)
You all are probably wondering where our post PAX coverage is, and I don’t blame you; there were some pretty cool games on display. But with Easter being this weekend and most of us recovering from the “PAX Plague,” it’s taking us some time to gather our notes and give you our thoughts on what we seen. Make sure you keep an eye on the site in the next few days as we’ll be posting content and opinions. If you haven’t heard our shows from PAX, make sure you do, as you’ll hear interviews about some of the up coming games. Here are the links to those shows: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3. Here is a list of some of the games you can expect to see write ups about in the up coming days: Alpha Protocol, Breach, Shank, Two Worlds II, Devil’s Tuning Fork, Skate 3, Comic Jumper, Puzzle Quest 2, Joe Danger, and many more!
