Review: Space Invaders Infinity Gene

When the game first started, it had the feel and taste of the original Space Invaders game; black and white screen and the basic vector graphics used in the original. Soon after that intro level, the game evolved into this 2D/3D version, where you’re allowed to fly all over the screen to shoot down the aliens. Space Invaders Infinity Gene brings back the classic feel of Space Invaders but with a Bit.Trip and Ikaruga feel. (more…)

Review: Sonic Adventure

At one time or another, I’m sure all of us have heard the phrase “some things get better with age”, that is not the case with the re-release of Sonic Adventure to XBLA. Instead of being something that will remind us of the good old days, it just further explains why Sonic has never really faired well in the third dimension. SA is a completely broken experience from start to finish. This really is a shame because Sonic is my favorite video game mascot of all time, and he has been treated rather unfairly in recent years. Nintendo Download of the Week: 9/27 Edition

To quote my favorite line from the movie Office Space “sounds like somebodies got a case of the monday’s” is the perfect way to describe the laziness of the downloadable offerings for this week. The reason why I would go so far as to say something like that is because I am tired of the little amount of effort that is put into the DSiWare and Wiiware services. Now this doesn’t mean that there couldn’t be at least something worth playing this time around. So here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for September 27th, 2010. (more…)

Weekly Halo Armor Update

In between playing Halo Reach and packing the house in preparation for my move in October, I’ve managed to put some more time into creating my Spartan armor. For this weekly update I wanted to share my experience making the forearm piece. By looking at this piece, I figured it would be a great place to start, not too difficult, but not that easy either. After talking with some folks that went to DragonCon over Labor Day weekend, yes always the same weekend as PAX Prime, I heard that the forearm piece is the most difficult to get the size just right. Great! So it’s true, looks are deceiving. (more…)

Nintendo Download of the Week: 9/20 Edition

After a somewhat disappointing outing last time around, I have to say that some of the releases for this week actually look quite intriguing. The virtual console has returned, just don’t expect it to stay around for too long. Not sure which one will make the cut to be perfectly honest with you. Time to stop beating around the bush, here is my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for September 20th, 2010. (more…)

Microview: Halo Reach

Seeing that I’m the resident Halo expert here at Rejected Gamer, I wanted to share my thoughts with you about Halo Reach. This is only a mini-review, so don’t expect too much elaboration about the game, but my full review, which will be posted on or around this upcoming Tuesday, will have an in-depth look into the game. (more…)

Holy Wagglefest Batman!

After hearing that one of my favorite developers, Wayforward technologies was releasing a new game for the Wii, I became, as they say, very excited. Mighty Flip Champs was such a unique title on the DSiWare service, and while Batman: The Brave and the Bold may just seem like another run of the mill side scroller, its sense of humor, and witty dialogue set it apart from most other beat em ups on the market today. Just finished the first out of four episodes, and wanted to share my initial impressions on this one with all of you. (more…)

Firefight Fridays

Now that Reach has released, it’s safe to assume that almost everybody will be playing it for awhile. Some of us are completing the campaign first, but a lot of others are already jumping in multiplayer and FireFight. With that said, I would like to introduce FireFight Fridays.

FireFight Fridays is a way for a group of Halo fans to get together and fight it out in FireFight. FireFight Fridays will be every Friday, of course, starting at 10pm Eastern. This isn’t a replacement to the Rejected Gamer Night on Thursdays, this is just another excuse for us to play more games and gather up community members to play some Halo and hang out.

If you would like to join starting this Friday September 17, send gamertag X3R0 9 a message over Xbox Live.

Halo Armor: From Game to Reality

^ From this………………………………..To this ^

Most of you may know that I’m a huge fan of the Halo series. I’ve been a fan of Halo ever since Halo 1 released on November of 2001; reading all the books, playing all the games, and even buying some of the Halo Clix figurines. With that said, I’ve always wanted a set of Spartan armor to wear at cosplay events and for Halloween. With the help from the 405th community, I can now make my Halo armor starting with some basic household items. In a multipost series, I’m going to briefly introduce you to the process of creating armor and share with you my experience while making my armor. (more…)

Gaming Night 9/16

It is time for another Rejected Gamer gaming night. It will take place this Thursday at 10pm Eastern time on Xbox Live. Send me a message on there, to my gamertag Mr B4 if you are interested in joining. You can also leave a comment here to let me know if you want to be a part of it or not.

In lieu of Halo: Reach releasing this week, I have decided to make this the game of choice for this Gaming Night, since it will probably end up being the only thing people are playing anyway. I will still be hosting one room for the game, so not much here is changing. If there is a need for more than one room, I will ask one of our other staff members to host another party lobby. Hope to see you all on Thursday.

Nintendo Download of the Week: 9/13 Edition

There are times in which I wonder why Nintendo even bothers releasing downloadable games for the people here in North America. We either end up getting a few bad games, with one possible average title, or just a bunch of useless shovelware that most likely no one will play. And on top of that, fans of the old school are getting shafted once again due to no VC releases this week. Sorry, this is just something that has been making me very angry for quite some time now. Anyways, let’s get on to the most important thing, which is choosing a title that may stand out from the rest (let’s hope so anyway). So here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for September 13th, 2010. (more…)

Vid Review: And Yet It Moves

Valkyria Chronicles (1 / 4) : Spoilars!!cast
