Nintendo Download of the Week: 11/29 Edition

Welcome back everybody, hope you enjoyed your thanksgiving weekend, I know I did. Now it is time to get back to some business, because there is alot going on in the world of Nintendo, as far as downloads go anyway. A popular Wiiware title heads on over to the portable world, and gets a demo on its home platform as well. Will it be the favorite?, let’s find out by choosing the Nintendo Download of the Week for November 29th,2010. (more…)

New Nail’d Trailer!!

Is Black Friday Overrated?

The busiest and biggest shopping day of the year is upon us my friends, and my only question to you is, is it worth it? Camping out the night before, to get a deal on a game that will probably go down in price sooner or later seems like a waste of time to be perfectly honest. Think about it, is jeopardizing your health for the minor chance of buying something at a discounted price really worth the hassle? All of these problems with Black Friday makes me wonder, is this holiday overrated? (more…)

End-game Redemption – Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

It was like riding an elevator for fun, if fun could be had while riding an elevator. Castlevania couldn’t seem to help itself. Every time it seemed to take my opinions to a higher-floor, the moment would be ruined by another call to the ground-lobby. For Mercurysteam, Castlevania is a palette cleanser from the bad-taste left in the mouths of those who played Clive Barker’s Jericho. Proof of development competence in the same vein of that which was given to Rocksteady, for their work on Arkham Asylum. It took only an hour for me to realize Mercurysteam could be the “sleeper-hit developer” of 2010 — or will they? (more…)

The Unappreciated of 2010: Dark Void

Click the image to open in full size.

Most of the critics had it all wrong. Capcom’s 3rd-person shooter is far from being one of the last games to play of the 2010 bunch. In fact, the engine presented 2010 with some of the most satisfying shooter action of the year. So, why haven’t you played it? Let me guess; you heard it was awful? Well, you heard wrong. (more…)

Weekly Poll #1: Review Reliance

In an effort to connect more with the gaming community, we here at Rejected Gamer have decided that we want to know what you think about certain issues that gamers face nowadays. Let’s face it, not being able to talk about these things can get quite frustrating sometimes. Every week we will post a poll that will either be based on topics any of the staff members from the site wish to discuss, or from any of our readers who come up with something important to them. Nintendo Download of the Week: 11/22 Edition

The only thing that saved this installment of Nintendo downloads from being a total disaster was the addition of demos for WiiWare, otherwise, this is just another typical week of shovelware as usual. At least the Virtual Console is getting something new, but honestly, it’s something I’ve never heard of. Thankfully, a tried but true franchise is here to save the day, offering something that just might be worth checking out. So here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for Nov. 22nd,2010. Nintendo Download of the Week: 11/15 Edition

Guess man’s best friend is the theme for this iteration of Nintendo downloads. Things are getting so lazy that everyday life activities, such as playing fetch with your dog, have somehow managed to become games. Even in this sea of shovelware uselessness, there is still one title in particular which might be worth checking out. So here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for Nov.15th, 2010. Review: Kirby’s Epic Yarn

Just finished weaving my way through one of the most unique and impressive titles for the Wii, and wanted to share my thoughts on it with all of you. Kirby’s Epic Yarn is a departure from what this series is known for, which may turn off some longtime fans who have grown accustomed to certain aspects of how these games should play. Don’t worry though, because these new ideas do not change the fact that this is one of the most charming titles to hit the console in recent memory. Is the little pink puffballs first adventure on this system a memorable one, or just alot of hot air? (more…)

Review: Paul’s Shooting Adventure

There I was inputing my code for the prepaid Wii/DSi points card given to me for my birthday, when all of a sudden a game by the name of Paul’s Shooting Adventure catches my eye. A baby superhero saving the world from an Alien race by shooting down as many of them as possible just sounded like something that was worth playing. If not for this strange setting alone, I may have not given this more than a single look. Guess the real question here has to be, is this a fun time in the crib, or a dirty diaper that nobody wants to go near? (more…)

Nintendo Download of the Week: 11/8 Edition

After taking a look at what’s on offer this time around, I thought my decision was going to be a no brainer, but now i’m not so sure. Just because something looks good on the surface doesn’t mean that it will be prove to be a worthwhile experience in the long run. So while some of you may not agree with this pick, keep in mind that even the little guy has a chance to make a successful title that gamers may enjoy. Anyways here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for November 8th, 2010. (more…)
