Atlus, in partnership with developer Kylotonn Entertainment, today revealed The Cursed Crusade, a new action-adventure game featuring two player co-op (online and local split-screen) for PlayStation®3, Xbox 360®, and PC. (more…)
Seeing that I’m the resident Halo expert here at Rejected Gamer, I wanted to share my thoughts with you about Halo Reach. This is only a mini-review, so don’t expect too much elaboration about the game, but my full review, which will be posted on or around this upcoming Tuesday, will have an in-depth look into the game. When I think of a shooter based on a game show, the first thing that pops into my head is the arcade classic Smash TV. Now take that concept, mix it with Team Fortress 2′s character classes, and you’ve got Monday Night Combat. Just got the chance to check out the trial version, and wanted to share my initial thoughts on it with all of you. (more…)
The other Kinect title that peaked my interest was a new music and rhythm game from Harmonix and MTV games entitled Dance Central. Basically, you dance inside of a circle, and perform specific moves when you are prompted to do so, and you earn points for it. This could be a casual hit at parties because who doesn’t like to watch their friends make fools out of themselves, I know I do. Check out the onstage demo from Microsoft’s E3 press conference, and see if you want to get down with your bad self (its a lame joke, I know).
The first party titles for Kinect at this year’s E3 didn’t impress me all that much, but there were a couple of third party titles that really caught my attention. One of them is called Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, the sequel to last year’s Wii game Your Shape, made by Ubisoft. This time around, the Kinect’s camera follows your every movement, and will have you participate in a number of exercises according to your specific body structure. It has alot of potential in changing the way workout games are made in my opinion. Here is the onstage demo from Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Enjoy!
The next game that I wanted to talk to you guys about was quite possibly one of the most unique XBLA titles that I played at Pax East, Limbo. It combines the simple elements of a platformer and puzzler, but sets itself apart from the mold by how the audio and visual aesthetics of it really engross the player into the overall experience. The 6 years that it took the people over at PlayDead studios to finish this game seems well worth the wait. (more…)
Well it’s about friggin time Sam Fisher, where the hell have you been the past few years. Conviction got pushed so far back that I thought you were going to enter a retirement home faster than Ubisoft was going to finish creating this game. As much as the constant delays kept pissing me off to no ungodly end, the final result was well worth the wait, at least from what I’ve played so far. It’s time to break out the triangle goggles, and snap some necks my friends, Splinter Cell Conviction has finally arrived. (more…)
Resonance of Fate is said to be “getting pushed out to die in the battle of RPG-supremacy for March, 2010.” Quite possible indeed, considering Square-enix releases its role-playing powerhouse Final Fantasy XIII not more than a week prior to RoF. Or maybe Sega & Tri-Ace have a fight in their hands they intend to win. (more…)
