The next game that I wanted to talk to you guys about was quite possibly one of the most unique XBLA titles that I played at Pax East, Limbo. It combines the simple elements of a platformer and puzzler, but sets itself apart from the mold by how the audio and visual aesthetics of it really engross the player into the overall experience. The 6 years that it took the people over at PlayDead studios to finish this game seems well worth the wait. (more…)
Since Jeff, Mike, and myself have played so many games at Pax East this year, we figured that it’s only fair to give you a first look at some of them. I think the first one that I will talk to you guys about is Military Madness Nectaris. The main reason why this is my first Pax preview is because the game just debuted on Wiiware this week, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it with all of you. (more…)
Now that the Pax plague is officially over, i thought that this would be a good time for me to share my thoughts about some of the the experiences that I had at the event. For Jeff, he had an opportunity to check out Civilation Revolution V and Mafia II. Mike focused on floor time and playing as many games as he could. Mike also briefly met with a few that helped develop Skate 3; there will be no audio, but there will be a write up about it. Take a listen to our podcast of day 3.
