This is the first time in quite awhile where picking a favorite download is not so easy. Two titles in particular look equally interesting, but in the end I had to go with the one that has the possibility of being worth it in the long run. Being a sports related game made my decision a little bit easier, but not by much. Either way here it is, my pick for Nintendo Download of the Week for January 24th,2011.
My pick for this week is going to have to go Jam City: Rollergirls for the Wiiware service. It has an ESRB rating of E10+, and is currently available for download through the Wii Shop Channel for 1,000 Wii Points. The reason why I choose this one was because racing games tend to be alot of fun, and being able to let out some aggression(without hurting real people of course) is always a good thing. Anybody who enjoys this combination of ideas should go ahead and lace up those virtual skates as soon as possible.
If you stink at skating like me, then you might want to check out the two new Wiiware demos, and two new Virtual Console games now available for download. Destroy the enemy fleet in 1942. Sharpen those claws, and fight the battle to win back your land in Black Tiger. Don’t forget to try out the demos for Furry Legends and Fish ‘em All as well.
Those looking for something on the go will have four new DSiWare games to try out. Make sure nobody misses their flights in Airport Mania: Non-Stop Flights. Be sure to not abort the launch sequence when playing Rocks N’ Rockets. Go on a quest for buried treasure with Digger Dan & Kaboom. Learn how to lose money (in a virtual way anyway) by playing a round of Ante Up: Texas Hold’em.
All of this, and more can be found in the DSi and Wii Shop Channels right now, have fun!
