Review: Space Invaders Infinity Gene

When the game first started, it had the feel and taste of the original Space Invaders game; black and white screen and the basic vector graphics used in the original. Soon after that intro level, the game evolved into this 2D/3D version, where you’re allowed to fly all over the screen to shoot down the aliens. Space Invaders Infinity Gene brings back the classic feel of Space Invaders but with a Bit.Trip and Ikaruga feel. (more…)

E3 2010: Sony PC Highlights

Even though it went for just a little too long (around 3 hours or so) there were still plenty of things to enjoy about the Sony press conference. Die hard fans of a certain series are finally getting the game that they have been waiting for, a release date for a popular racing title has been announced, an epic speech was given, a popular puzzle game gets released onto the PS3, and even the PSP gets a new peripheral. Keep in mind that I missed some parts of the show due to the lag of the online feed for certain websites. Nevertheless, let’s take some time now and look at some of the highlights from the show. Pax Preview: Military Madness Nectaris

Since Jeff, Mike, and myself have played so many games at Pax East this year, we figured that it’s only fair to give you a first look at some of them. I think the first one that I will talk to you guys about is Military Madness Nectaris. The main reason why this is my first Pax preview is because the game just debuted on Wiiware this week, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it with all of you. (more…)

Review: Fret Nice

Not only has Fret Nice developer Pieces Interactive prove they can put together an inventive and fun platforming title, they’ve also proved they aren’t afraid of trying something different. Busting out the ol’ plastic guitar to play a platforming game sounds like a lot more fun than it really is, but that doesn’t mean the game falls short of being “purchase-worthy”. (more…)

Abbey Road DLC For The Beatles™: Rock Band™

rbdlc_abbeyroad_mainThe remaining songs to make up the full Abbey Road album have started showing up as DLC this week for The Beatles: Rock Band. Pretty impressive to see them waste no time on releasing these songs for such a great game. Now some people might think that most of these should have been part of the initial release, but I for one think its fine the way that they’ve done these.

If your a fan of this game then you are more and likely wanting to keep adding to your collection of Beatles songs and Abbey Road is not a bad album to start with. Two additional albums will become available later in the forms of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and Rubber Soul. So fire up those consoles and start downloading and playing some of those favorites that didn’t make the initial release. For more information, check out the press release from Harmonix now.
